Land rent shall be paid annually commencing from 1st July, to 31st December. After six (6) months of grace period the land rent shall be paid with penalty of 1% each month.

The land rent shall be paid to the Ministry of Land, Housing and Human Settlements Developments, land rent section for Dar es salaam plot owners. For upcountry, the land rent shall be paid to the Municipal or district councils land offices.

To comply with the requirement provided in the right of occupancy, land rent should be paid annual from 1 July of each year.
